Blur Khuntian (2025)

Ratthanin has a keen interest in studying the administrative divisions of Thailand, particularly the concept of 'districts'. In the context of Thailand, a district refers to an administrative unit within a province, and each district is governed by local authorities responsible for public services, infrastructure, and law enforcement.

Ratthanin is particularly focused on the Bang Khun Thian district, his birthplace, which also borders other provinces outside of Bangkok. He traveled to explore the boundary areas between these provinces and discovered that the only marker of division was a sign, with no physical distinction in the landscape.

In response, Ratthanin sought to challenge this notion by imagining a hypothetical boundary line between districts and provinces. He physically moved back and forth between the two districts, questioning the human-imposed concept of territorial boundaries, which, in reality, may have no true physical significance but exist merely as a construct for division.
